What a way to end it up. Thank you to all the teams, staff and volunteers that helped us through the 2011 season. O.B brought back memories of Ocean racing at it’s best. Teams scrambling for weight, smaller props, duct tape, and Tylenol. I was just thinking, all weekend I don’t remember one team asking me if we would cancel. Maybe they knew we wouldn’t anyway. Looking around at the faces in the drivers meeting everyone was fired up to have at it. Proud of you all. Everyone came home safe and sound. True professionals.

Get ready for the Solomon’s Island Grand Prix
09/09/2011
Get ready for one of the biggest race venues of the OPA/Amsoil racing circuit. We expect over 50 boats to participate from all over the east coast for this one. The race will be a 1 race format in Solomon’s Island Maryland. Full points will be awarded for this race. Obviously to make it fair for the current racers that raced all of the OPA races this year we could not do a 2 race format. All racers must turn in copies of their physicals that did not already do so, so that if they place in Solomon’s they will be able to receive prize monies. There will not be any exceptions to this. Also, please be aware that registrations will be held at the Holiday Inn Solomon’s on Friday and Saturday. Anyone that cannot make the registration times must call to tell us so that they can race on Sunday.
